As a bereavement specialist, Meredith has assisted clients in the grief process for over a decade.  While grief is typically associated with the passing of a loved one, people may experience loss following trauma, chronic illness, or other events. Meredith believes that loss, in any form, often provides an opportunity to grow and learn about our hidden strengths.  Her work includes helping survivors honor and find meaning beyond their loss.  Meredith provides evidence-based therapy with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other life challenges, as well.  Meredith is an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist; she is also clinically trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Meredith's clinical practice has included work in residential treatment, community mental health, the HIV/AIDS community, acute inpatient care, hospice settings, and the cancer treatment community.  As a holistic therapist, Meredith is able to offer supplemental mind-body strategies designed to promote clients' personal growth.  Some of these offerings include mindfulness training, relaxation exercises, and yoga.
Meredith understands the importance of the client-provider relationship and works collaboratively with individuals to create a safe and healing environment.  Her special interests include LGBT issues, relaxation training, and the power of story-telling.
Meredith enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.  She is a novice gardener and likes watching documentary and independent films.  Her personal self-care practices include mindfulness meditation, music, and yoga.
