Kerri Michael is a licensed, certified social worker (LCSW) trained in EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic approaches to psychotherapy, mindfulness, and Reiki, among other evidence-based modalities. Kerri is a RYT 500 yoga teacher with additional certification in Yin and trauma-informed yoga.
Kerri’s focus is on helping folks heal from the effects of trauma, especially PTSD and attachment trauma. If you’re navigating a tough transition, struggling with setting healthy boundaries, feeling overwhelmed and burned out, having trouble in relationships, or want to chart a new course for yourself but don’t know where to start, Kerri can help.
Kerri’s approach to mental wellness is holistic. She starts with two guiding principles: first, that the mind, body, and spirit are inextricably linked, and second, that none of us is broken. Each of us is whole already, and we have within us everything we need to heal. Kerri aims to give you research-backed, consciousness-based, embodied, and practical tools for living peacefully, deliberately, abundantly, and authentically.
Kerri grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, but now proudly claims Little Rock, Arkansas, as her home. She graduated from the University of Alabama and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kerri is also an independent filmmaker and co-director of the Rock City Film Festival. She enjoys being creative, cooking, spending time in nature, and learning new things in her spare time. You can also catch Kerri leading RiverStone's Restorative Yoga class weekly on Tuesdays at 5:30pm and leads soundbath events available to clients periodically.
