Dr. Courtney Crutchfield completed her Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University. She has experience treating a variety of concerns, with particular emphasis in Women’s Issues, PTSD, Sexual Trauma, and treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder. Dr. Crutchfield’s clinical exper-ience has also involved providing individual and group therapy with homeless individuals, as well as consultation, supervision of trainees, and overseeing a multidisciplinary treatment team. During her work as a clinical psychologist, she has been active in education, mentorship, leadership, and other scholarly activity. Dr. Crutchfield has worked with psychology training programs, including both internship and postdoctoral fellowship programs. She is currently the Director of Training for an APA accredited psychology postdoctoral and interdisciplinary fellowship program.
Dr. Crutchfield has advanced training in proven therapies for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD co-occurring with substance abuse. These evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Seeking Safety, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression (CBT-D).
In her leisure time, Dr. Crutchfield enjoys spending time with friends and family. She enjoys movies, outdoor grilling, and loves to travel and visit new places. Her personal wellness practices include relaxing therapeutic massages and mani/pedi.
